Adolescence, a Period of Important Choices. Sustainability Can be "Taught" at School: from Theory to Practice!

Project was proposed by ANDID (Italian Dieticians Association).
The red thread of the project was Food Sustainability and I organised a multidisciplinary work among the teachers of the Cookery School where I work.
The target of the project were the students.
Problem: Food Sustainability
Actions. The “final products” of the interdisciplinary work were:
– Comparison on the document “Decalogue Enea against food waste”
– Organization of an interview led by the students with a local chef, a professional linked to the concept of Sustainability, that was invited as a guest at the School
– Realization of sustainable and anti-waste recipes
– Translation of the Decalogue in English and French
At the end of the project, I noticed a greater sensitivity in the students towards the theme of Sustainability in the kitchen, with particular reference to food waste and waste collection.
