 2018 EuDAP Report / by admin / 448 views

Nutritional Care of Patients with Atopic Dermatitis – aimed at assessment of the efficiency of nutritional care for patients with atopic dermatitis (AD).

Problem: how nutrition following a reduced histamine diet and avoiding dairy, gluten-containing products can affect the condition of atopic dermatitis?

After revision of research publications, it was noted that low histamine diet combined with the elimination of dairy products and gluten-containing products may have a positive effect on the condition of atopic dermatitis (AD) patients. The analysis of feeding self-control diaries of AD patients has shown that products, that can worsen the condition of AD, constitute a significant part of their diet. A menu containing low levels of histamine for 6 weeks, which in addition eliminates diary and gluten-containing products, was prepared for the respondents.
