Researching access to dietetic services in oncology and patient awareness of the importance of nutrition in cancer.
Problem: Malnutrition and misinformation relating to nutrition in the realm of oncology
Actions: Research to scope out the level of the problem with a view to developing appropriate services where gaps are identified
Results: High prevalence of CAM use. Suboptimal referral rates to dietitians during cancer journey. Survival disadvantage to CRC patients losing fat mass during chemo.
